The Citizens of Bridgeport are very lucky to have a wonderful, dedicated group of individuals that serve them in varying capacities. During this most recent weather crisis our employees were out in the sub-freezing weather, checking on electricity, checking on water supplies and leaks, sanding streets, volunteering in warming centers, staying on the job 24/7 so that all of the city’s services were available and working for the public. The Electric dept., Water dept., Sewer dept., Parks dept., Police dept. and not the least Fire dept. Our one man IT dept. worked tirelessly to make sure communications stayed up and running, All of our city employees deserve a large pat on the back, a gold star and a check mark by their name for the job they did. We did not lose power or water or any essential services. THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL.
