OverDrive is a service that allows library card holders to download audiobooks and eBooks for free. Downloads are compatible with both PC and Mac, as well as with MP3, Android, BlackBerry, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile, and many other popular devices. In order to use this service, all valid library card holders must have a password set up within their library account. To set up a password, contact the Bridgeport Public Library.
To get started, visit the North Texas Libraries on the Go OverDrive website, and at the top of the screen, click on? Help. Step-by-step instructions titled OverDrive Help, Software, or Device Resource Center will guide you through the initial set up needed for your specific device. Due to numerous electronic options and ongoing updates, it is suggested that you know the specifics of your reader and follow the easy instructions for downloading to your particular mobile device or eBook reader. You may also view a list of compatible devices.
Problems downloading? See the OverDrive website for possible explanations. One thing to remember is that if you download directly to your smartphone or reader, you cannot transfer to your computer or other devices. Library staff is also available for assistance.
