COVID-19 City of Bridgeport- Updates

COVID- 19 City Updates!

Harwood Park, Payne Park, and Community Center Playgrounds Closed.

The walking trails around Harwood Park & Payne Park and the rest of the parks ARE STILL OPEN to the public.

Bridgeport City Hall, Court, Public Works/Development Offices- Closed to the public, effective March 23rd!

Due to COVID- 19, the Bridgeport City Council decided to close these buildings to the public, for the health and safety of our City Staff and Customers. Please see the individual fliers on the Homepage for details on each Department for payment, permits, utilities and court related items.

Upcoming City Sponsored Events- Postponed for 8 Weeks!

Due to COVID- 19, the Bridgeport City Council decided that until further notice that all upcoming City Sponsored events are being cancelled, postponed or TBD and a later date will be determined. City Sponsored events scheduled for the next 8 weeks that are currently scheduled that are effected or will be determined at a later date. 

No Rentals for Activities/Events in City Facilities- Until Further Notice

Also, Bridgeport City Council made the decision that no events or activities will be held in our City of Bridgeport facilities, until further notice. Also, at this time the Bridgeport Public Library is closed. Patrons can still return books via the drop box outside and all fines accrued during this time will be forgiven. 

Bridgeport Public Library- Currently Closed to the public

Due to COVID- 19, the Bridgeport City Council decided to close the Library. The book drop-off box is still available outside of the Library for returning books. All fees accrued during this time will be waived.

Bridgeport Municipal Court- Currently Closed to the Public & Updates

Due to COVID-19 and the encouragement for "social distancing," all court hearings and appearance dates are postponed at this time, as well as in-person payments!

All defendants will receive a letter in the mail with their new court date or appearance date within 30 days after Governor Abbott lifts the State of Disaster.
