BPD is committed to providing excellent police services to our community. We believe that in order to provide superior service, employees must be physically fit to perform. CrossFit has provided a platform of training that is exhausting but also rewarding. Chief Stanford, is a Level 1 CrossFit Certified Coach, and serves as our Department Physical Fitness Coordinator. This affiliation allows our Department to hold our quarterly physical fitness tests using the most updated and proven functional movements.
The Department utilizes the CrossFit Baseline evaluation to assess the officers' fitness level. The baseline tool is comprised of the following movements.
