We have over 36,000 books, magazines, audiobooks, newspapers, DVDs, and videos available for use by the public. New books are marked with a red dot for easy identification. Spanish books and videos of all levels are also available.
The library book drop is located at the front of the building at the beginning of the walkway, under the canopy. The book drop is checked at 5 p.m. every day that we are open. Anything deposited after that time will be checked in the following day and may be subject to overdue fines.
Computers are available for use by the public, including Internet access. These computers are equipped with such programs as Microsoft Office Suite, reference titles, tutorials, and children’s programs.
Wi-Fi access is freely available within the range of the library’s system.
As a member of this consortium, library cardholders have access to the materials of 13 libraries. Present your Bridgeport library card at a member library or place a hold on an item, and it will be sent to our library. There is no postage fee for items requested within the consortium. You may search the entire catalog online.
Members of the North Texas Consortium include Alvarado, Aubrey, Decatur, Justin, Krum, Lake Cities, Ponder, Roanoke, Saginaw, and Sanger.
You may wish to browse or maybe looking for something specific. Please use the online card catalog or feel free to ask for assistance from one of our friendly staff members. Reserves may be placed on unavailable items. You will be notified when the item is available. Please be sure we have your current information on file. You will have a week to pick the item up or make arrangements.
Our library’s Memorial / Honor Book Program provides a perfect way to celebrate the accomplishments of friends and family members. Graduations, birthdays, anniversaries - any special event - can be celebrated with an Honor Book. The form can be filled out and brought to the library.
